A language as you know is a means of communicating, usually via human speech or written symbols, a computer programming language is a set of symbols and usage rules employed to direct the operations of computer,programmers people who writes the programs use a variety of programming languages such as c, c++ visual basic and java to communicate instructions to the computers, just like any human language a programming language consists of a set of symbols are combined and semantics or associated with certain symbols combinations, however unlike human language programming languages has very limited vocabularies and very specific functions, human languages are use to express the vast rich words and ambiguous rules the single purpose of the programming languages is the construction of computer programming has come in long way in more than century,early programmers had to set hundreds of switches manually
to enter a program, to run another program they had to reset the switches, today the technology assists us in programming effort while providing us with user friendly interface
